After a lot of brainstorming, comparing and arguments, at least, we booked our major suppliers. As follows:

Church - Mary the Queen Parish, Greenhills
Venue - North Greenhills Clubhouse
Caterer - Centertable(Mrs. Rose Valera)
Photographer - Paul Vincent
Videographer - Jezreel Cruz
Florist - Angel of Hearts(Lawrence Dela Cruz)
Cake - Sugarbox(Emily Uy)

Super dami pang needed. Feeling ko nagcracramming na ako. Sobrang hilo na ang utak ko ano ang uunahin. Im 6 weeks away before I go back to Manila. I want all contemplating ngaun na so I can proceed with the legwork agad.

Im so disappointed with him. At the moment we are looking for hotel preps. I've been crazy on how we can pull it out through with limited resources. Tapos nauna pa niyang naisip kung ano mararamdaman ng kamag-anak niya. Hay, kelan ba kami pedeng magdesisyon na kami lang at walang influence ng iba. Lahat ba kelangan ng go signal ng ibang tao. Im really upset with how this preps is moving!!!!!!!!

Second time around

After all the heartaches, tears, serious talks, we are secretly planning again our wedding. For those who can read this blog that are close to our hearts, I hope you keep it first to yourselves and let us(Chris and I) announce the engagement when the time is right. We are overhauling our suppliers this time because of the change of venue.

The Date:
We would like to keep the date, 17th February hopefully 2008 is the year for us.

The Church:
We are considering Archbishop's Palace. It's small chapel where we can an intimate wedding. It accepts Sunday weddings. The location is very private, no hassle and bussle of sidewalk vendors.
But we are also thinking of NSDG, though it's overused by the networks and of course of so many brides, this is still shortlisted.
How about UP Chapel or Dela Strada in Katipunan. We are not UP grads so it's not of sentimental reasons, while Dela Strada is just a suggestion.

The Venue:
It depends on the church. We want a garden venue, since February is not a wet season.
For Archbishop, we are eyeing on Wack Wack or Palladium. We haven't seen any of these, Chris needs to visit when he gets back home.
For NSDG, were considering their garden.
UP Bonsai Garden, quite fine but the church is the question.

The Motif:
Still rainbow. We have to stick with it, I'm almost done with the souvenirs.

The Theme:
Enchanted garden

We're decided that we'll get the service of Paul Vincent unless we'll fall in love to another photographer's craft and style. We just love his shots. check his blog http://paulvincentphoto.blogspot.com/
We would like to hire a back-up photographer for some reasons and we would like to get Jayson Arquiza but we have to deal with Paul Vincent back-up first.

We cannot decide, they are all within our budget and our taste.

12 long years

What is this again...he can't come here to stay. What's happening, at first we cancelled the wedding now he can't come to stay with me....are we not meant for each other. After 12 long years why only now these things have to happen. It seems all forces are joining to keep us apart, what should I do now? Lonely to be alone, no one to turn to in this country and the only hope that I'm holding is somehow disappering.

Cancelling reservation

I asked my mom to cancel all the reservations we made before I left Manila. Is this part of wedding preparation? Everytime I think of the cancellations I cant help but cry.

Just the other day, while I'm chatting with my friend, she asked me if it's all worth it...I dont know how to answer her cause I dont even know if it's all worthy to sacrifice my happiness and choose career over my wedding. I know I'm not happy here being alone and all I know that this man I left in Manila is the only one who could make me smile again. But with my contract here, how can I push through with our plans again. Now, i just wanna be with him again and nothing more.

Signs

Five years ago or maybe 6, I asked for the 1st sign. I said that if it's still worthy to wait for him after the break-up let him call before this certain day(I think it's Friday) and he did but the problem is, he called a day after I set the deadline. What the heck does that mean? Though I don't understand, I still accepted him without doubt, giving myself a justification that it's still acceptable.

After a couple of years from that, we decided to start our new life together through a formal vow. Preparations came and still doubt if we made the right move, maybe because I see in him that he's being skeptical of the idea. I asked for signs again, not 1 or 2 but 3 and indeed He gave me 2 positive answers but the last thing I asked is the one that bothers me so much. And like the first sign five years ago, it gives me a negative impression of our plan(maybe that's why Im here where I am). I have to stop dreaming my own special day and face the thing He offered me thinking of what the message it brings. History repeats itself, I justified again that it will bring the good future to us.

But weeks passed after I arrived, wedding plans were brought up again over the chat. He asked me to marry him before the year ends in a simple and small ceremony. The idea keep me awake for almost every night in months. A friend made me realize how lucky I am to have someone thinking of me almost every minute of the day and that made me say that "yes, I wanna get married". But there are other things I have to think considering our situation right now. Then, I said there's only one thing that could validate my decision, I'll ask for a sign but this time it will just be 1 sign. I asked to bring him where I am. One sign that could make me say yes or no.

He is suppose to be here with me already, but what happened? Is this the last sign. Up to this time, I'm still waiting for a miracle that God would grant me this one, but where is he? If he's not here now then he's not going to be here tom or next.

Should I believe on these signs? How many times should I ask for it, di kaya nakukulitan na ang Diyos sa akin? What is His message, I don't understand, or maybe I'm just in denial of the fact that we are not meant to be together...forever? should I decide now...do I really need to choose...the sign or him? I'm afraid of choosing, I will definitely hurt the both of us. Head or heart...what do I choose...where do I go?

Dreaming of a wedding

3 months and 2 weeks to go before I suppose to be married to the man I long for to be with. What I know now is, it will not happen in the near future. Everytime someone would mention anything about wedding, I can't help myself but drop a tear. It's still painful to me everytime h2b and I talk about the wedding. Sometimes Im grateful that we have to move it but it always saddens me that it we will not be able to push through the original plan. I miss preparing for our wedding so much...now I'm back to dreaming again!

I've been checking my blog every now and then, but I don't wanna post anything not even updates on my new endeavor, I just want to check if there are new messages for us...imagine it took me a month before I finally decide to write something again. I checked my blog today and the countdown caught my attention. In a few months, specifically 6 months and a week I am suppose to walk down the aisle towards the guy I'm longing to be with for the last 11 years. Now I don't know how many more years or months I need to wait before I set my self in planning my dream wedding again. I'm suppose to have my designer to do my gown already, confirm our caterer, confirm our videographer but what I am confirming now is the date of my flight.

10 more days to stay with honey and my heart cries evertime I think about that I'm leaving him behind. A lot of questions are running through my mind right now...will the wedding be pushed through, if yes when...where will it be going to held this time...and a lot lot more...I really dont know when, where and how to stop asking.

There are rumors (rumors talaga) that it will happen sometime in July, August, September, December of next year or same date but after a year but even me cannot give the exact answer...maybe we need to answer the first question before anything else. A question answerable by yes or no but still it's so hard to give the any.

I'm laying my hats to grace...congratulations and more good lucks to you and to both our wedding plans!!!!

Thanks so much for all the W@Wies who shows their concern. I may not know you personally but you let me feel that you're more than a friend whom I will cherish.

And syempre, I thank Chris for being there all the time, supporting and understanding me, love you honey! (parang acceptance speech)

Long time no blog....definitely the wedding is postponed....but I'm still hoping that it will happen. i just hope and pray that when I decided to get married it will still be with him. Things happen when we most unexpect it and we need to weigh things. I know these things happen for a reason, i may not know it now but soon I'll discover why?I just hope I did the right move. Prayers are the only support I need now...prayers for me, especially when I get where I am heading...prayers for Chris who will be left behind...and prayers for our relationship that it may pass the test of time given to us...

It's just so sad that some people are not really appreciative of what their neighbors achieve...it's the pain of having so many people around taking advantages of each person they've met!!!

Another W@Wie Wedding

Went on a half day leave last Monday, May 23, to check out Nice and Morning's wedding. I feel that it's my obligation to go to their wedding because it's her and Lucinne who gave me idea about Hillsborough. We will never discover that wonderful place if not for them but i felt really bad when I learned that Lucinne is changing her venue. But anyway, when we reached the place that after a long walk we started to imagine the place dressed up for our wedding as we saw the set-up by Jun of Batis Asul. The Beat Box and Fiorgelato's staffs are just starting to put up their stuff when we arrived. We met Abie(Clarice's group) while chatting with Jun coz they're their coor for that day. We tried to check out the things that might be our problem during our time. And yes indeed, we need to change the lights in the open cabana and put a lot of tivoli lights on the trees and shrubs. What else...where are we going to use those swimming tables in the open cabana to maximize the space...and a whole lot more. A very accomodating Jun gave us something to drink while resting from our ocular inspection, it's so nice of him to offer that drink knowing that we are not Nice's guest but a client of Aqua Park. We really had a great time visiting our to-be reception venue after 4 months and not just hunting but actually planning for our special day...alynn

The Quest for Florist

My sisterrette (Ageth) and I have been to Dangwa last sunday(May 23) and ask at least 4 shops to quote me the bouquets and arrangements that we need for our day. We first went to Emma's flower shop and I admit that I felt a cold feet because of the prices she wrote on that small paper. For a simple bridal bouquet, she quoted me 5k, that's already my budget for the flowers. I said to myself, definitely I am not getting them.
The next stop is Lush Bloom, I started the conversation by asking their price for my preferred bridal bouquet and they are half lesser than the first shop we went to, so sabi ko ay "mas mura dito". So asked the girl to continue to list down our requirements, and "okay lang"so not expensive nor expensive presyonmg florist, so we went off to another pit stop.(ala amazing race)
Then we head to next shop that we thought can give us cheap but with quality service. And so we entered the stall of Ver's Flower Shop since we saw their tarpaulin about wedding bouquets.And indeed, they know what they're talking about. I asked first the price for my bridal bouquet (which became my gauge in checking if the shop's quote is cheap or expensive)and the girl said 1.8k, 700 bucks cheaper from Lush Bloom, can you imagin that, to think that's just across Lush Bloom and yet you get that price. Some of their price are just few buck away from other shop but I can say better arrangement, plus they're very amenable to my style. And what I like about them is they suggests not so expensive kind of flowers that can go with the arrangement I like.
Syempre, being OC we went to another shop even it's past 7pm. I checked my wedding notebook and there's the name of Resty's flower shop, being lucky that day we found the store easily and it's still open. Ask an quite old lady to quote me arrangements for our wedding. And there we sit on a steamy part of their shop (as it about to rain). Ask their price for my dream bridal bouqueta and the result...same price as Lush Bloom. But I give them the list of flower requirements for them to quote anyway. I'm not impressed at all with what they're telling me because they only show me samples from magazines and not their actual arrangements from an album and I didn't feel any importance during our conversation since I am a prospect client.
I wanted to go to more shops but its getting late and we still have to meet honey and go home in Parañaque that night. Hoping that the next time we go there we can meet Mang Boy and got his quoatation...alynn

This is one of the most common questions asked by guests.In this article, I'll do my best to give wedding goers some direction but the information is provided only as a guideline.
Even though the article seems to be directed to wedding guests, brides and grooms should read and consider it.If you are a bride or a groom, you know your guests and what attire they would be most comfortable wearing. This in turn will help you plan the kind of reception that will complement your style and be appropriate for your invitees.
Following are a few considerations to appropriate dress.
The season
Autumn
Winter
Spring
Summer
The location
Will both ceremony and reception be held in the same location?
Will the ceremony and reception be held in different locations?
Will the wedding be held indoors in a formal location?
Will the wedding be held indoors in an informal location?
Will the wedding be held outdoors in a garden or park?
Will the wedding be held outdoors on a beach?
Will the wedding be held outdoors in a backyard? Other
The time of day
Will it be a mid-morning wedding?
Will it be an afternoon wedding?
Will it be an early evening wedding?
Will it be an evening wedding?
Will it be a split wedding, that is, the reception will not follow the ceremony directly?
The Style of reception,
Will it be a lunch?
Will it be a late afternoon tea and or finger-food reception?
Will it be an out door garden or picnic reception?
Will it be a buffet dinner?
Will it be a sit down dinner?
Will it be a black tie affair?
Will it be an outdoors reception?
Is it a theme or a dress-up period wedding?If you are invited to
a theme wedding such as Country or Western,
Heritage weddings such as Chinese, Indian, Irish etc…
or a period theme wedding such as Victorian, Ancient Egyptian, Roaring Twenties etc…it may be appropriate, though not necessary to wear period attire.
Women:If you are invited to an informal or semi-formal or even a formal daytime wedding, that is, morning, early afternoon or tea time wedding you may wear a conservative dress, a suit or anything you'd wear for business providing you do not work at home in your pajamas and you do not wear jeans to work. If you are invited to a formal daytime an informal or semi-formal evening wedding, an After Five, or Cocktail Dress will be most appropriate but be sure it is conservative and not too revealing. If you are invited to a formal evening or a black-tie affair a long dress, gown, or cocktail dress are most appropriate. Add some jewelry and sparkle. Whatever the appropriate attire, do not were plain white if this is the color of the bride's gown. If you are not sure how formal the wedding reception is, use your best judgment. If the reception will be outdoors, bring a change of clothing and follow the bride's cues. If the bride changes to sportswear, it is perfectly ok for the guest to do the same.
MenIf you are invited to an informal or semi-formal or even a formal daytime wedding, that is, morning, early afternoon or tea time wedding you may wear a dress shirt and slacks, and bring a sports jacket. Take cue from the other guests. If most do not wear sport jackets then it is your option not to wear yours. If the majority does wear jackets, then you are prepared. Either way, don't forget the tie.
If you are invited to a formal daytime an informal or semi-formal evening wedding, wear a suit and tie.
If you are invited to a formal evening or a black-tie affair wear a dark suit and either a straight or a bow tie. Unless you are in the wedding party, do not wear a tuxedo, unless the invitation specifically stated "Black-Tie".
If you are not sure how formal the wedding reception is, a dark suit with a conservative tie are always appropriate. If the reception will be outdoors, bring a change of clothing and follow the groom's cues. If the groom changes to sportswear, it is perfectly ok for the guest to do the same.
ChildrenBoys: A dress shirt and slacks with or without a tie. Ring Bearer, either a suit or a tuxedo as arranged by the bride and groom.
Girls: A pretty dress. Flower Girl, a pretty dress usually chosen by the bride, with or without head dressing.

at last after a couple of weeks of trial and error on uploading pix from photobucket to the blog, finally I learned the technique. Though there are a lot tips and tutorials in W@W, I really can't figure it out how to uplaod pix. It's always error or can't find the exact location but after a month doing this blog day and night-spending some of my working hours without being caught(naku,patay) and staying till 3am with a work after 5 hours-now I can post my very first pix with words..

Puerto Galera

It's been 4 days since we came from Puerto Galera at hanggang ngaun vacation mode pa rin ako, as in!We went there Saturday morning and left Monday night, so, we spent 3 days 2 nights there and I really thanked my co-w@wie cynch, janelle and lea for helping me out looked for lodging but since long weekend plus weekend payday ang dami talagang tao super puno lahat plus the fact that di namin inabot ung 10am boat kaya wait kami til 12:15 though di naman kami nainip dahil sa sobrang sight seeing sa batangas port as in parang each one has a story to tell kaya observe lang kami, la rin kami sa speaking mode. Meron pa nga ako nakausap na matanda and he doesn't know kung san siya papunta pagdating niya sa Mindoro, gustuhin ko man siyang tulungan kaya lang magkaiba pupuntahan namin. Anyway, naawa ako ke honey dahil muntik na siyang magsuka sa biyahe, I never thought na ganun na nararamdaman niya, nakalimutan ko kasing galing pa siya ng work kaya talagang pagod plus sobrang lalaki ng alon that time. Dumating kami ng 2pm sa white beach at text-text na kami ni cynch pero sad to say puno na rin ung lodge na tinuluyan nila pero okay rin lang dahil derederetso kami dun sa residential na tiniran namin last year pero since sigurista kami ni honey pareho naghanap pa rin kami ng iba hoping that we'll get cheaper rooms pero nakalimutan namin na peak season pala last weekend.And we end up renting a room for 1.5k a night which can accomodate 5-7 people.ok na rin kasi since residential merong ref so no need to look for ice cold drinks. The first afternoon, tinulugan ako ng mga kasama ko kaya ako mag-isa nag- stroll ng beach, okay rin naman pala parang you have the whole time for yourself. Pagkagising nila prepare na kami for swimming, EB kami ni Cynch, had our first dinner then rest for awhile, higa-higa sa beach kain ng balot, inom ng beer syempre with club music as our background, then night swimming till 11pm. Plinano namin to watch the sunrise but sad to say again mas gusto namin matulog kaya the next day(Sunday) we really waited for the sunset, hindi talaga kami bumalik sa room para lang makunan ang breathtaking sunset. Feeling ko di ako tinatablan ng araw kasi hapon na rin kami nagbeach. Same routine that night, by the beach with club music with fire and gay show on the side. I really enjoyed that night, we (honey and I) held hands without any words to say but savor each moment together at may bonus pang falling star show, dami ko talagang nakita sobrang na-appreciate ko ang langit. Next day came, sabi namin dapat maaga kami para masulit namin ung last day, syempre di pa rin namin naabutan ang sunrise, hay talagang night persons kami. pero we hit the beach at 10am,nagpamassage muna ako bago ako nag-swimming kaya feeling ko lalo akong natusta with all the coconut oil na nilagay sa akin, talagang nagbabad kami with all the snorkeling gadgets kaya enjoy talaga, di kami nakapagbanana ride kasi gahol na rin sa oras, kasi we went to tamaraw resort where we also checked the ayala's private resort.We chose to go there than to eat lunch kaya ayun bago kami sumakay ng boat kumakain kami ng lunch buti na lang di kami na-suka sa biyahe pero grabe talaga ang alon, di na talaga ako uuwi ng ganun kagabi using boat feeling ko talaga tataob ung lantsa, sobra nga hawak ko kay honey, kahit tinulog ko na nagigising pa rin ako sa sobrang alon. We reached home by 1130 pm at sobrang gutom kami. Try to upload some pix next time!...alynn

134th monthsary...

tom is our another monthsary to celebrate and exactly 9 months to go before the altar date. Definitely we'll attend mass but really have no idea what will be the next, hopefully (hoping for the nth time) honey will plan for a simple something (he's not that expressive, you know guy thing that us girls really hate). I don't mean that he'll spend his whole salary for a day, simple lang naman kaligayahan ko(sentiments oh sentiments). But anyway, I think it's about time to work on the wedding plans more seriously...alynn

Upcoming Baby....

WAIT, before you think that I'm preggy well I'm not...honey just told me about his dream the other night(well the last time he slept). He said he dreamt of talking to his baby syempre asked agad ako kung kanino niya baby then he said with me daw kasi me resemblance daw sa akin actually hati daw ung itsura basta sabi niya maputi, like his eyes but like my nose and lips daw(sayang best asset ko pa naman ang eyes ko). O diba, 10 months before the wedding napapaginipan na niya magiging baby namin pero may konting guilt sa akin. Few nights back kasi we're talking about not having a baby muna right after the wedding kasi syempre I want to enjoy muna being with my h2b, kaya yata di siya nagpapakita sa panaginip ko. Naalala ko tuloy ung movie nila Aga and Aiko(sorry forgot the title). That make me think twice, do I want to have a baby, syempre... of course... absolutely... but not immediately kaya lang I'm not getting any younger baka pag gusto ko nang magkababy it's too late. Well, siguro what the Lord wants for us will always prevail kahit anong ayaw ko so Siya na lang bahala kung kelan Niya gusto ibigay, we'll always be happy to accept all His blessings. Sayang di daw nalaman ni honey kung girl or boy kasi daw pag baby hirap malaman kung girl or boy from the face lang, e nakatingin lang daw siya sa eyes kasi minemental talk daw niya, o di ba at sumasagot naman daw ung baby thru the mind rin. Kakaiba talaga mga inhibitions ng h2b ko. Ask ko nga kung ano pinag-uusapan nila di na daw niya maalala, sayang. Sana ako rin mapaginipan ko siya...basta I already have names for my first baby boy, for the baby girl naman nasa brainstorming stage pa lang.Hay, nice to dream the upcoming babies...-alynn

Stressful week

What a week, my birthday week is also my most stressful week for this year as far as I remember. Wanna ask why, because of people who's been around me for the past week. It's the last day of March and we haven't move on with our preparation. So busy with work or so busy with W@W mails!!! We haven't book our caterer but that's because we still want to check out blue petals but the problem with them is we have to schedule our food tasting with them unlike the first 2 caterers we checked that they have a monthly/weekly tasting without commitment which gives us room for choices. Hey but wait, I'm half way na pala sa souvenir namin, nakatapos tapos na kami ng sisterette ko ng more than 40 pcs. last Holy Week and that's an accomplishment for our wedding preps, un nga lang in terms of booking la masyadong updates, kulan pa ung pang-book kaya sa mga nais magdonasyon open po ang account namin,hehehe...alynn

Quiapo day!

Kahit walang pasok last Wednesday kailangan ko pa ring gumising ng maga dahil we have an appointment with Frankie De Leon, the couturier, in the morning. Late na rin kami dumating sa shop and konting chika chika about the gown I wanted, so sketch niya ung gusto ko and at last I have the idea of how it will look like pero sabi niya, di daw siya satisfied sa sleeves na gusto ko so sabi ko enhance whatever is needed to be enhanced. He'll be doing a couple of sketch to get the best design. After a few days, tsaka ko lang nalaman na siya pala ang gumawa ng wedding gown ni sylvia sanchez(got to read again from my collection of YES Mag), bongga sabi ko...kaya biglang afraid ulit dahil baka pricey siya e di pa naman priority ang gown, anyway sabi ni frankie he'll get my measurement mga august or september kasi sobrang maaga pa! Next stop is Quiapo, with a W@Wie friend Ivee to buy materials for our souvenir and to have a tutorial na rin sa paggawa ng cord. So at least now, I know na how to start my cord. And ito ang catch, alam ko na kung san makakabili ng murang swarovski so whether pang cord or for my own bracelet di na ko maghihintay ng matagal bago makagawa. Next stop, we went to Dapitan Arcade to accompany Ivee and at the same time na rin maghanap ng vase for our centerpiece. Sa liit ba naman ng area siyempre la pang 30 minutes meron na kaming nahanap pero ang mahal nagrarange bet Php450-800 what else do you guys expect syempre cross out na agad e 15 tables lang naman ang pupunuin namin ng 3 vases per table pero as we walk along, nakita namin ung locally made and guess what Php50.00 lang, maliit nga lang siya pero gumana na agad ang imagination ko kung pano gagawin at syempre kung maraming kukunin mas mura pa ibigay baka Php 30.00 na lang. Bumili ako ng 1 para sample daw sabi ni Ivee. From Dapitan naghiwalay n kami ni Ivee(going back to Quiapo),dahil try namin(with my sisterette pala) puntahan ung MOH who is just living within the area and some friends to give the Save the Date na rin. At nang malaman naming wala silang lahat, ayun at na-adik yata kami sa Quiapo. Balik Quiapo kami para puntahan ulit ung swarovski retailer at ikot ikot pa sa paligid na parang nag-fifield trip(first time kasi ni sisterette) kaya feeling tour guide naman ako!Buti na lang napagod na siya, feeling ko magpapasama pa sa luneta at intramuros, hahaha!!!!But love to be with my baby sister(as in parang anak ko na)...alynn

2nd Food Tasting(Robert Camba)

We had our food tasting last March 19 at Robert Camba in Quezon City. The usual hot sunny Saturday honey and I met, mali I picked him up(baligtad na talaga ang mundo) and went straight to Robert's place, kahit naremind (thru our w@w friends)na ako na wag mag-food tasting kung gutom sige pa rin kami.Siyempre target time is 1pm pero sa layo ng panggagalingan ko imposible talaga un! So, at around 2:30pm dumating kami sa showroom nila.Nahiya talaga ako dahil kami ang 1st couple na dumating sa place, parang sobrang atat na atat na makikain, este mag-food tasting(magpakasosyal). Inusher kami ng waiter to the office then after awhile may dumating na girlalu...I knew it, He's no other than Mr. Robert Camba, afraid ang lola mo nung nakausap namin siya sa office kasi di siya ngumingiti tapos everytime na lalabas siya ng office laging pinapagalitan ung mga katauhan niya e di lalong intimidated ako! After a medyo long conversation inaya na niya kami to have our food tasting. We really feel like a guest of any occasion. I'll rate first their food, ooopppsss ayaw kong maging bad girl...they prepared pancit, pork teriyaki(korek ba ang spelling ko), chicken teriyaki, fish fillet with tartar sauce and beef in mushroom sauce as main viand, pancit bihon while buko jello with lychee and buko pandan. I like the pork teriyaki (medyo sweet ang lasa na parang chinese cuisine)and beef in mushroom sauce(thick sauce kaya malasa talaga). I like the fish fillet of batis asul than the robert camba but nevertheless masarap rin ung sa kanila pero dapat improve pa nila ung tartar sauce nila.Masarap rin ung pancit bihon pero naisip namin ni honey na ordinary na masyado ang pancit kasi pag may okasyon un lagi ang handa. After 2 food tasting, we are still considering batis asul for our caterer, plus factor talaga ung taco chips and dip na appetizer, medyo off kami dun sa assorted nuts ng robert camba parang inuman daw sabi ni honey!!!Wala nga masyadong ammenities ang batis asul pero off din kami sa dami ng ammenities ng robert na di pwede paalis para minus dun sa package, e most of the it di namin kelangan kaya mapapamahal kami...isa sa mga gusto ko talaga sa robert camba are their free tiffany chairs...-alynn

Food Tasting

so last Saturday we had our food tasting in Batis Asul. At first hesitant kami to consider Batis Asul as our caterer because of the distance from our wedding venue coz we are taking consideration of the spoilage of foods. Pero, we also thought na let's give it a try since la namang fee ung food tasting.We're already in the area ng mga 1:30 pm not knowing na 4pm pa pala ung tasting, kaya ayun feeling ko nag-venue hunting ulit kami kakalakad sa ilalim ng araw buti na lang may mall nearby.At exactly 4pm, went to the address indicated(side kwento ulit, nakalimutan kong ilagay sa wedding notebook ko ung address ng Batis Asul kaya base nalang ako sa memory ko,short memory pa naman ako,pero di naman ako buking ni chagne na nanghuhula lang ako ng address at try to recall ung binigay na instruction ng nakausap ko sa phone) at nakarating kami ng matiwasay sa Batis Asul. I was first amazed talaga sa set-up nila, dahil di traditional na flower centerpieces ang ginamit and I just love the idea, simple, yet unique and elegant c/o Balay Kandila.Siyempre pumwesto kami sa may elec. fan kaya ayun di ko naappreciate ang kandila sa mga vases kasi namatay, beach theme pa naman ung table na inupuan namin.But anyway, they first serve us the taco chip n dips at talagang masarap sabi nga ni chagne kung pwede un nlng ung main menu kasi nakakabusog talaga at yummy,inubos talaga namin ung binigay so sabi namin this is the appetizer final!!!Then the hawaian salad,medyo kulang ung timpla, sa alat or tamis, basta may kulang sa kanya!Then serve us the main course,beef stroganoff, tropical chicken, fish fillet with sweet n sour sauce and roast stuffed chicken plus rice. We rave about the beef stroganoff and chagne just love the fish fillet basta meron siya undescribable feeling daw gusto rin daw niya matikman ung tartar ang sauce. He also like the stuffed chix pero para sa akin medyo dry parang dapat yata may sauce siya, then ok rin ung tropical chix pero siguro mas type ko lang ung mashed potato on top na merong gravy. Then next is ung buko pandan dessert, di ko siya kinain coz I'm not really fond of eating ung mga gelatin pero sabi ulit ni chagne...di kaya gutom lang siya nung oras na yun, lahat masarap.Then nagkamali ata ng serve binigyan ulit kami ng appetizer na crispy kangkong masarap siya kaya lang ang fear ko baka pag serve nun di na crispy kasi nasa open air ang venue namin. Madali kausap si Sir Jun, ung mga add-ons na ask namin di na niya binibigyan ng charges unlike ung ibang catering services bawat dagdag, dagdag din ng price.Di namin kuha ung services ng balay medyo out of budget na pero we'll ask Mang Boy to team up with Sir Jun pagdating sa centerpieces.
Sana pupunta din kami sa Robert Camba para makikain...este food tasting(para sosyal) kaya lang siyempre nakalimutan ko ung Yellow pages ko kaya next time na lang ung cravings namin!...alynn

Wedding preps!

hhhaaayyy!!countdown na talaga to...11 months to go...at naloloka na ako with all the things that we need to accomplish.Everything is just pencil-booked, from the church to suppliers and a lot more to book. Tomorrow is another wedding expo which I decided to attend to kahit medyo di na excited si honey...somehow, it's true that everything is the same as with all the expos we went to, pero one thing that makes me excited, that is we'll definitely go to Market!Market!afterwards. Siyempre, tuloy date na...sa sobrang busy namin sa work...or should I say na sobrang kontra ng working sched namin halos di na kami nagkikita...when was the last time nga ba na nag-usap kami ng matagal???Before my complain is too much time...and now more time, ang gulo hahaha!!!!matured na nga, lang ng time eh!-alynn

One year to go!

It's almost the end of February and less than a year from now I have my new name though I know that I'm not going to miss my family name so much.I asked my h2b if I can still attach my family name to his surname, and he said that it's okay!I just feel that being the eldest all my accomplishments should be given back to my family especially to my parents!Kung pwede ko nga lang isama pati middle name ko gagawin ko kaya lang ang haba na nun isulat!Anyway, I am so happy that my groom to be is so open-minded that he understands how I feel! By next year, I'll be having 2 surnames (with the blessing of my h2b)-alynn
